Does it handle Chinese and emoji?
Yes. Everything is processed as UTF-8, so Chinese, Japanese and emoji round-trip correctly.
What does URL-safe change?
It replaces + with - and / with _, and drops the trailing = padding, so the value survives being placed in a URL.
Can I encode an image?
This tool handles text. For images, use the conversion and compression tools in the image category.
