GitHub Repo Analyzer

AI

Analyze a public repository's health — documentation, test signals, CI/CD and community setup — and get improvement tasks you can open as issues.

This tool sends your input to a third-party AI service (Google Gemini). Do not enter passwords, API keys or personal confidential data.

Input

Not stored

Public repositories only. A result for the same commit is reused instead of running the AI again.

FAQ

Is my source code sent to the AI?

No. The scan collects metadata, the README, file paths, which config files exist and dependency names. Source code is never read and never sent.

How is the health score calculated?

By a fixed rule in code: documentation 25, test signals 20, CI/CD 15, code quality config 15, community and licence 15, security 5, maintenance activity 5. The AI interprets the score but cannot change it.

Why can't I start a scan without signing in?

Scans use the platform's own GitHub credentials. Anyone can read the most recent analysis of a repo along with its commit, but starting a new scan requires an account.

Does re-analyzing spend quota twice?

No. Results are cached by commit SHA, so if the default branch has no new commit the existing result is reused without calling the AI again.
